After more than 30 years in the trenches of construction, development, and project management, Patrick Wood had seen it all—the good, the bad, and the wildly over budget.
He started as a general contractor, building homes from the ground up and managing crews, subs, and client expectations day in and day out. Over the years, he expanded into real estate development and investment, gaining a deep understanding of how to make a project not just structurally sound, but financially successful. Through every phase—design, budgeting, permitting, bidding, construction, closeout—he became the guy people called when things got complicated.
But something never sat right: watching homeowners and property owners navigate a system stacked against them. They were often left overwhelmed, overcharged, and under-informed, forced to rely on builders or vendors who didn’t always have their best interest at heart.
That’s why Patrick founded Builtwell Consulting—to flip the script.
